More answers!

1. Given you've been asked about book recommendations... what is a book, or author, you wish would just go away?

None - even crappy books are loved by some people and enrich their world in some way.

2. What was the strongest original influence on your spiritual beliefs?

Probably my heritage - I have very strong ties to my Celtic blood.

3. What is your favourite memory of time spent with your partner?

The time that we've spent in Broome.

4. If you could have a guaranteed period pain-free and unaffected by illness, say a week, what things would you want to do and experience while you could?

Probably travel, and really enjoy it, rather than having to eke out spoons.  Which gets old really quickly when you're somewhere that you want to explore.

5. Is Oscar Wilde?

Definitely ;)

1. Being an at-home writer with a 9-to-5 working partner can be a lonely, alienating experience. How do you keep the distance you need to create, while at the same time maintaining some kind of connection with the outside world?

The internet is my friend :)  I know that I can usually find someone online to talk to if I want to.  Having a kitty helps, too.  And yes, I talk to her a lot when I'm at home ;)  Seriously, it rarely bothers me - I'm a fairly solitary creature by nature.

2. The AHWA's mentorship program suddenly expands to include every single writer who's ever lived. Who would you like to be your mentor, and why?

Charles de Lint is the obvious first answer, mostly because of the admiration that I have for his writing and because I'd love to being able to share some of his knowledge.  Kim Antieau is another one, both because her writing is magical and amazing, and because she is a woman who knows and experiences *so* much.  If anyone reading this has never read her, you should.  And go and read her blog.

3. If you could live absolutely anywhere in the world, where would it be? Discuss.

Broome.  The connection to the land I have there is so intense.  And I love the culture and the people there.

4. Due to unexpected mutation, you suddenly have a superpower. Which would you like it to be, and which do you think is probably most appropriate for you?

The ability to heal people, both mentally and physically,  I know too many people who are suffering, and I wish that I could ease that.

5. Beatles or Elvis?

Beatles.  Dude - John and George just win :)

1. You are besst by illness, on a constant basis. How difficult is it to make writing a part of your day.

It's actually not that difficult to make it a part of the day.  I have more difficulty in getting a decent amount of writing in - my lack of concentration sucks, as well as the lack of the ability to sit still for any decent amount of time before ending up in pain.  That said, I can't not write.  It's just part of me.

2. You've been working on Shaede as long as I've known you. When are we going to see it in print?

Hopefully within the next few years :)  Though that depends on the industry stopping imploding.

3. What's more important to you: writing, or crafting jewellery?

Writing, no contest.  Which is why I've pulled back on the jewellery work right now.

4. If there's a quintessential Stephanie Coxon 'style' to life, what is it?

To be, to connect, to think, to reflect.  To be aware of the deeper things and to be in awe of the world.

5. Answering one or the other without dissembling, would you rather a) be given a rectal exam by a dentists or b) have a cavity filled by a proctologist?

I'm going with a, since there's less chance for really bad pain there, or long term damage.  Kind of.
