Coraline
First of all: o Wordpress automatic update, why are you failing me? You just want to make me have to update the old, boring manual way. Sigh. I love wordpress, but it’s annoying when things don’t work.
Went to see Coraline in 3D today (yes, we only just got a release of it in Oz). First of all, seeing it in 3D was so worth it – I have to wonder how it’s going to translate to the regular screen now, after seeing it in all of its shininess. I won’t spoil it for anyone for anyone who hasn’t seen it, suffice to say that I thought it was a great adaptation of the book. And I love the book.
I am also now all antsy to see the movie adaptation of The Lovely Bones after seeing the trailer this morning. I enjoyed the book, though I’d have to reread it to give a decent review of it right now, as the details are lost in the fog of memory. The movie looks very shiny, though.
Still enjoying some holidays here (hence the mid-afternoon movie, at which we had almost the whole cinema to ourselves), but it’ll be back to the word mines on Monday. It’s one thing that I think a lot of writers don’t do enough of – taking breaks to refresh the brain and bring back the real desire to lose yourself in words.
