It never fails to astound me how much writing can vary from day to day. A few days ago I was convinced that this novel was crap and that all of my writing in general was crap. I wanted to just bin it all.

Fast forward to today. Little things are connecting in the novel (the men in the basement are earning their keep!) and I’m excited about it again. I really want to keep forging on, but my brain is begging for a rest right now. The unfortunate thing is that I now have the need to go back and insert some stuff in earlier chapters. But if that’s the worst that happens, well, I can accept that!

I really want to get this draft finished so I can go back and work in Shaede a little bit (mainly the beginning) and get some more queries for that out. And now the new new novel is settling into my brain as well. Never mind that I already have another one in the planning stages as well!
