So close to 200k for the year. I could force out a few more words and get to the mark, but I’m at the end of a scene and my brain is aching for a break.
Surprisingly productive day. Not only did I get some jewellery work done, but the writing came easily today. Suddenly everything is falling into place with the novel. Hell, I’m liking the story again.
What’s different? Apart from the fact that I’m not dealing with the neurological effects of withdrawing from medication right now (as I was earlier in the week, and only just figured it out), I’m filling up the well with good stuff.
I’ve been reading a lot of nonfiction lately, and wondered if it would make writing fiction easier (as I know it does for some people). I’ve moved back into fiction this week - specifically, I’m reading Charles de Lint’s Dingo right now. I’ve also been reading through a few really well-written (and frankly, inspiring) blogs this week. It all makes a difference. Filling up the well.
