Thought and Memory

New words: 2,018

Total words: 71,618

Listening/watching: Crowded House

Total words for the year: 231,430

Sketching out scenes today that are going to need some serious reworking next week. It’s okay - for now, the sketch is enough.

I’ve been battling a serious cases of the “I don’t wanna”s this week in regards to writing. I have the ideas and I know exactly what I want to write, I just don’t want to actually sit down and write it. i want to laze around watching television and reading books and mucking around online.

This is where my routine saves me. I sit down every weekday and write at the same time. I write until I get my word count. Even if it’s rubbish that will be deleted the next day. It’s all forward motion in a way, and that’s what counts.
