Back in the swing of things

Today’s progress:

Project: Shaede line edits.
Pages edited: 28
Total pages: 444
Goal: All pages edited!

Writing:

Yeah, ignore the “words” on that metre.  I’m sure I could hunt one
up that I could customise properly, maybe another day.  Just trying to
get back into the swing of things slowly.  My first goal for the year
is to get Shaede sent out to another round of agents, so I’m making sure the manuscript is as good as it can be.

I’m actually getting sucked into my own story, which has to be a good
thing :)  Line edits, for me, need a decent amount of concentration,
which I don’t have a lot of (I’m still kind of sick, though better than
I’ve been for the last month or so).  So it’s slow progress.  But still
progress.

I also worked on beginning to compile a list of agents to query.  I’m
going to scrap my old query package and start anew, which I’ll be
working on at the same time as these line edits.  It should keep me
busy for a little while, and hopefully be a gentle way to get my
routine back into gear.

Real life:

Cleaned the house, sweated a lot despite the air conditioning
(It was something like 36C here today.  Still warm at the moment, but
tolerable).
