This week in writing

This has been a scattered week. A few really good days, and a couple of days where things were all over the place.
One of my biggest issues I have is getting work done when my routine is disrupted, which happened a few times this week. It’s a difficult thing, and I’m yet to find a good way to work around it. I am such a creature of routine that it’s almost scary. But that’s a good thing when you are the only person responsible for making sure you get work done - stick to a routine and it’s much easier.
I’ve had some really useful feedback from beta readers about The White Raven, some of which has pointed out some weaknesses in my writing. Which comes back to habits and routines again - I get stuck in the overusage of phrases, and need to break that habit. It’s something that will strengthen my writing, so it’s a good thing.
My brain also randomly threw me an idea for a new novel last night. Which I kind of want to work on right now. Sigh. It’ll have to settle for some outlining while I’m working on other things.
