With my freeze ray I can stop the world
Good progress again today. I’m getting into a portion of the manuscript that’s tighter and not so padded out with crap and rambling, which is much nicer to work with.
It’s making me worry still a bit about the earlier chapters, particularly about whether my viewpoint character is boring in them. I suspect that I’ll need a few people to reread it and see what they think.
Today’s progress:
Project: Shaede draft four
New words: 3,546
Total word count: 15,875
Goal: 100,000 words (or thereabouts)
Writing: Five chapter down. I’m getting interested in the story myself, even though I know what’s coming, which has to be a good sign. Foreshadowing is kind of fun.
Real life: No exercise today, though I did do some cleaning of the house, including lugging around the vacuum cleaner. Also some baking and a load of laundry. It’s been storming on and off all day, so no chance to get out of the house.
