Moving on today, which makes me happy. I’m going to aim to get a chapter revised each day, no matter how long it takes me. Today wasn’t too bad. I’m finding myself in a strange position at the end of the work day - I really want to keep on going, but my brain just isn’t complying. It’s good, because it means that I’m still interested in this story.

By the gods, I rambled a lot in this draft. I’m hacking away at it a lot and feeling very, very grateful for my beta readers. I keep saying it, but it’s really showing me how much I’ve learned since I last looked at this manuscript. Even if I don’t even up selling Shaede, it’s a damn good learning experience.

Oh, and beta readers, I recall saying that I’d make you something shiny in thanks for your work. If any of you want to take me up on that, email me your address, k?

Project: Shaede draft four
New words: 3,088
Total word count: 12,329
Goal: 100,000 words (or thereabouts)

Writing: Four chapter down. Many words sacrified along the way, which has hopefully made this more interesting.

Real life: Short walk this morning while the weather was good (it’s currently raining and gloomy). Groceries obtained, a load of laundry done.

Total words for 2008: 288,132
