Concentration today was better, but I was hampered by something new. RSI. I get it in my wrists if I’ve been on the computer too much, and well, I’ve been on the computer too much. As well as writing, I’ve been spending some time doing online research. Time to cut back on that, I think.

I spent today rewriting, which sucked, but needed to be done. Hence the title of this post. It’s still progress, dammit. I’m happy now with the first three chapters and now I get to move on. I’d really like to move on today, but my wrist is telling me that it’s a bad idea. Plus I need to really think about some changes in the next chapter, and it would be best to look at them afresh tomorrow.

In unrelated news, I received a shiny copy of Black Magazine today in the mail. I have a couple of short book reviews in there. It’s very shiny indeed - you should go and get yourself a copy.

Today’s progress:

Project: Shaede draft four
New words: 3,041
Total word count: 9,241
Goal: 100,000 words (or thereabouts)

Writing: Three chapters down. Hopefully I won’t be touching these again. At least not to make large changes.

Real life: Managed to go for a short walk in a break in the weather this morning, for which my muscles are thanking me. I really need to schedule in time for a walk every day - inactivity just leads to flares. Spent some time organising review work that I need to do as well. At least some of which requires hunting down books previous to the ones I need to review. I need to start scheduling in reading time again, and not just spending time on books for pleasure reading.
