Slowly back to the routine

Words for today: 2,632
Words for 2008: 392,769

Kind of a slow day today.  I’m still feeling the effects of travelling – mostly as some increased pain, and some respiratory weirdness (which may just be a reaction to being on the plane).  I kind of want that word count to be higher, but I know that if I push it, I’ll just write garbage.

I’ve decided that my goal for this year is to have a submittable version of this book before the end of the year.  That gives me oodles of time (hopefully) without too much pressure to churn out scads of words every day.  I love getting huge wordcounts, but they’re not much use if you need to delete them the next day.  So I’m slowing down, and improving the quality of things.

Hopefully, anyway.
