Writing:
A good day today. I managed to work out what was bugging me with the end of the last chapter I worked on, and have (hopefully) fixed it. My brain decided to toss another problem at me, as well, but that’ll require going back and rereading the last few chapters and figuring out if it’s something I need to fix. Which means that, for now, it gets appended as a note on my outline as something I need to look at in the next draft.
Anyway. Mostly spent today fleshing out yesterday’s sketched out scenes, to the point where I’m pretty happy with them. Tomorrow I move on into some more stuff that’s being pulled from the last draft, so it should be easyish writing.

Beauty:
The way my subconscious works. Basically, when I have a problem with something that I’m writing, I pretty much just shove it away. I’ll mull it over a bit, get frustrated, and then go away and do something else entirely (in this case, that involved half a day of other work and sleep). Then when I sit down at the page – boom! I have my solution.
I love the men in the basement. It’s worth keeping them well fed.
