Project: White Raven draft two

Writing:

A good day today – the words were flowing, and I didn’t have to struggle to try to figure out what was happening.  I did spend a chunk of time reworking words from Friday, but that’s pretty usual for me.  I’m giving up stressing about the way that I’m working right now and just going with what works.  And at the moment, I should have plenty of time to get this draft done within my self-allocated timeline.

Amusingly, though, I find myself really wanting to start doing the next round of edits.  Which is hopefully a good thing.  And will even more hopefully be something that sticks around while I have time off from writing.  I really want to get this manuscript shaped up so I can start querying it, dammit.

Real life:

Did laundry, cleaned the house.  Arranged for a plumber to come out and have a look at our dying hot water system tomorrow.  It’s been dying for a little while, but we’ve been putting off getting it looked at – it still works, it’s just not terribly reliable (especially first thing in the morning).  Time to get it sorted now, though.Beauty:

Sleeping well enough last night that I’ve been clear-headed and able to think properly all day.

Also, the fact that my husband is just awesome.  I got really lucky in the lottery of life.
