“I am the sun in the flame”
Apr. 19th, 2011 07:47 amYesterday was an amazingly (for me) productive day. Of course, as a result, I feel pretty much like hell today. So we’ll see if there is any productivity at all today.
There was housework – the usual Monday laundry and cleaning. And much running around after a toddler who’s too damn energetic for his own good.
There was writing. I finished off the review I was working on and posted it and spent a goodly amount of time working on Never. Almost 1500 words, some of which were the first writing I’ve done in a long time that I’ve been immediately pleased with. Which typically means that it’s a scene that’ll have to be gutted in edits
And there was reading. Not enough, though. Still having a very slow month for reading, thanks to still-interrupted sleep at night from the teething kid, which results in me being sleeping during my afternoon reading time. Still working on the same books.
Last night, we caught the first episode of Game of Thrones. I’ve read the first two books in the series, but it was a while ago – and I’ve read so much else that I’ve pretty much forgotten everything about them. I was planning on a reread before watching the television adaptation, but I think I’ll wait until the season is finished. So I can’t comment on the adaptation per se, but I certainly enjoyed the episode.
