She says nobody wants to believe
Apr. 20th, 2011 07:49 amYesterday was another productive day, if one with a slow start due to a certain child who woke at 5:30am, resulting in very grumpy parental units.
1400 words on Never, which brought me past the 40k mark. As I write using Scrivener, I don’t actually keep track of my total word counts most of the time. I decided to have a look yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I guess it all does add up eventually.
I finished reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which I enjoyed thoroughly. In the mail, I received Tansy Rayner Roberts‘ new book The Shattered City, which I am looking forward to reading with unabashed glee.
Exercise was on the lower end of what I like to do, mostly due to me still dealing with the lingering cold of Doom and a teething kid who wanted cuddles. About 25 minutes of sedate walking while pushing the pram. The good thing about transitioning from swimming to walking is that I get to listen to podcasts again while exercising. Yesterday, I was catching up on I Should be Writing, which is hands down one of my favourite podcasts to listen to. I’d missed that Mur had launched a subscription-only section of the site, and promptly subscribed as soon as I got home.
Media consumption last night consisted of the latest episodes of United States of Tara and Stargate Universe. While casting the occasional glance at the Blu-rays the husband bought yesterday (Mad Men season four, Tron Legacy and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One. We’ve seen all before apart from the last.)
