See the man standing alone on a hill…

Pomegranate in the garden coming into flower for the first time.
Yesterday it rained. A lot. It was also cold (for Perth), with the temperature being somewhere around 13C when I checked in the afternoon. I’d complain about the lack of spring, but we need the rain, badly.
As a result of the weather, I had fairly high pain levels. But I did manage to write, getting around 1,400 words on this draft of Never. It was a middling day – the words weren’t particularly easy or hard, they just were.
No walk yesterday, due to the weather and my general feeling-like-crap-ness. But I did manage to finish off a few books – finished up my reread of Mockingjay and also a book recommended by a friend, Why We Get Fat, which was an extremely interesting read. Now I really have to catch up on some awards and review reading.
Last night, we watched the first episode of Terra Nova. Which gets a resounding meh from me. Boring characters who I didn’t care about, who were actively stupid. Even the dinosaurs weren’t interesting enough to save it. I just kept wishing that they’d adapted The Pliocene Exiles instead.
