I've given up in less than five paintings/illustrations/drawings out of over 400, in the past 10 years. It's pretty awesome. :) I had to learn how to do that, but it's definitely worthwhile.
And those five are in storage for me to revisit later.
I can relate to a lot of what he says, actually; especially the missing the studio when he's not there, after developing discipline. I really feel that way about art. 'Taking a break from artwork' is never really taking a break from artwork, it's just trying to take a mental break from being my version of 'commercial.' Thank you for linking this! :D
