Hmm... well, I'd go to like a really lofty place with my request and say 'write a book about shamanism and stuff but with fictional characters and set in Australia!'
Er.
But in terms of Livejournal? I'm happy with reading whatever. :)
I have a novel idea that pretty much does that, set in a post-apocalyptic Australia. It's based very loosely on an old short story of mine, which was written way before I had any interest in shamanism.
A short story based on some of your Oblivion/Fallout3/etc computer-game dungeon-delving, eg: http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/gh_castle_black_reservoir1.html :)
Old-school D'n'D, with overpowered yet squishy mages keen on calling forth fire, brimstone, lightning, and earthquakes from the depths of inter-dimensional portals only to realise they need thems pesky healers more than ever when one stray portal spews forth a zombie-cat-apocalypse from the sky, causing everyone and the cats to flee into a future portal only to land in to World War 3 with giant robots wielding laser swords versus tanks where they realise zombie-cats are far too nimble for their unwieldy weapons hence their plot to destroy all technology, thereby plunging the world into medieval times... where we discover - magic!
or..
You know a Guild Wars book wouldn't go astray :) Or a WoW book, and you've pretty much just sold 11.5 million copies instantly.
