This post is a bit belated.  But I think I have a pretty good excuse for being distracted

This is the time that I should be making a wrap-up post about 2009.  I’m not going to do that, mostly because my memory is truly awful and in order to represent the year accurately, I’d have to go back and read through all of my entries here and at livejournal.

I will say this for 2009.  I finished a novel draft (or two – see my memory in action there).  I got pregnant and went into remission from lupus and fibromyalgia during the pregnancy.  I gave birth to my son, Liam.

And 2010?  Is going to be a year that centres around Liam.  I am hoping that, as we settle down into more of a routine, that I can carve out some writing time again.  I don’t hold out much hope of being able to produce the kind of word count that I was writing last year, but I hope to do something, even if it’s 100 words a day.

The next challenge is to decide what to work on.  I still have Never banging around in my head ( amongst the fog anf fluff from sleep deprivation, it has to be said) and I really want to work on another draft of The White Raven.  Which one takes less brain power?  I have no idea.

I do know that I’m not going to force myself to try to get back into a manic schedule.  This year is about slowing down and enjoying every day as much as I can.

Short stories, yep - the most recent were two last year in anthologies. No novels yet, though.

My sister gave birth to her son last year and I can honestly say I have never known her to be happier. You kind of sound like her in your blog postings so I think you and Liam are going to have a great 2010.
