It’s a bit scary that I’m cutting so much from this supposedly done novel. There’s just bits of dross here and there that aren’t doing anything and need to go. Even if this doesn’t help me land the agent I have my eye on, I think the cuts have made it a better book. More streamlined. Hopefully I haven’t cut the soul out of it.

I’m kind of brain dead apart from the editing – it’s a huge task doing 50 pages a day.
