Unintentional silence
Oct. 1st, 2007 04:52 pmApologies for the silence around these parts. I could say that I’ve been working like mad writing and have had no time to blog, but all you’d have to do was trek over to my livejournal to prove that wrong.
I do have an excuse. We’ve bought a house. A lovely big house with a proper garden and privacy and lots of rooms and a sunroom with a spa. I can’t wait to move in and get settled. As a result, I spent a mad week last week running around like crazy and getting this place ready for home opens. After dumping a silly amount of boxes of stuff at my parent’s house and doing so much cleaning that even the thought of the vacuum cleaner was enough to make me break out in hives, we had success. We’ve accepted an offer on this place, and are just waiting for the boring stuff (waiting for finance and the like) to be over.
And yes, I am still writing. I’m getting more and more convinced that Thought and Memory is broken beyond all retrieval. I could split it into two books and fix it that way, or just make it a really long book, but both are unappealing. Still, I’m going to keep on trying to salvage something, anyway. I might start planning the next book as well, just in case.
