Who decided it could be Monday?
Aug. 4th, 2008 05:05 pmThe rain has finally let up for a few days – it was beautiful and sunny today. I’m blaming that on a general lack of motivation to get anything done today.
I edited this chapter, but I’m really not happy with it. I can’t decide what to do with a scene at the end of the chapter. I’ve changed it, then changed it back again. Sigh. I suspect that I’ll change it back again tomorrow, or maybe this evening if I get a second wind. Right now, I think my brain is a bit too fried to be thinking about it.
I don’t know if I’m going to get a decent word count tomorrow, either. Rheumatologist appointment smack in the middle of my usual writing time. I am a creature of habit, and I don’t take kindly to my schedule being disrupted, even by things I organise myself. I really should make my appointments at different times so they don’t interrupt my writing time.
Today’s progress:
Project: Shaede draft four
New words: 3,878
Total word count: 50,285
Goal: 100,000 words (or thereabouts)
Writing: Fourteen chapters down. Kind of. I’ll be revisiting this and sorting it out before I move on. Everything has pretty much gone to hell in my protagonist’s world.
Real life: Cleaned the house thoroughly, did two loads of laundry as well as some reorganising of the pantry.
Total words for 2008: 333,193
