Today’s progress:

Project: White Raven draft two

Writing:

Look at that – one quarter of the way through!  I think I skipped updating metrics on Friday, but the word count was about the same as today.

This chapter had been bugging me over the last week or so, mostly because it’s been shifted from being much later in the book in the last draft.  I think it works better here, and serves to introduce a character who really needed to be introduced.  Hopefully my betas agree there.

Real life:

Cleaned the house, did laundry.  Listened to an awful lot of rain, wind and hail outside and was very thankful that I didn’t have to go out in it.

I succumbed to moving the laptop back to the couch today, mostly so I could be near the heater.  I’m warm, but it’s actually a little less comfortable for me than working at a desk now.  Go figure.  I’d rather deal with some aches and pains than be freezing, though.

Now I must do some beta reading of my own and catch up on some review reading.  Last week was kind of a waste for me, probably because I’d been doing too much on too little sleep.  Feeling much more human this week.
