Not the best word count today, but it’s over 2k, so I’ll take it. Really bad night for insomnia last night, so I’m kind of thankful I can string even two words together.
I’ve been trying to plan out things for the next year or so. My sole aim for this year is to get this draft of White Raven finished before life changes completely I think that’s pretty doable – I’m somewhere near the halfway mark right now, and so long as I can keep on working to a schedule for the next few months at least, I should be good. I also want to make sure that I’m up to date on reviews (which is slowly happening) and I need to ensure that I have time for reading for the Australian Shadows awards.
And then. In December (hopefully not earlier) the sprog will make an appearance, and I’ll have to take a break from creative endeavours. I’m really hoping that it won’t be for long, but I’m just not going to be able to predict anything. My health could do anything, and who knows how long it’ll take to get back into a semblance of a routine. I’m just going to take things as they come, really.
When I can get back to a routine of some kind, it’ll be to do another round of revisions on White Raven and then start the agent hunt again. At this time, I may reassess my options for Shaede as well, and begin work on Never. Dependant on health stuff, I may also look into some freelance or other work as well.
I’m nothing if not ambitious. And stubborn.
Real life:
The weather has been incredible today – gale-force winds and rain. Hence, I haven’t actually been able to get out of the house. I may try and go for a walk later on if I can time it for a break in the weather. I really need to get some yoga tapes (or find something online) that I can do when the weather is bad.
