Writing:

A good day again – all hail routine!  I actually kept on getting distracted today by the internets, but managed to force myself to abandon reading of interesting things and get back into the word mines.

So far, I’m pretty happy with the way this draft is going.  I’m aware of myself overusing words and phrases still (something that I find very difficult to break while I’m in creative mode), but I’m not worrying about it overmuch right now – I’ll catch that in the next round of revisions.

My whole revising style still strikes me oftentimes as being very odd.  I wish I was someone who could just sit down and do line edits, but my brain works better if I retype the whole thing.  I do plan on the next round of edits being different, though – I’ll print this version out and go over the hardcopy for changes, rather than just working on screen all the time.

I really should stop complaining about how my brain works in terms of writing and just accept it and move on.  You’re probably all sick of hearing me complain about it.

Real life:

Grocery shopping.  Also accomplished a walk in the morning, which is more efficient than waiting until the afternoon.  Especially when the afternoon weather is the way it’s been today – rainy and windy.  I think the weather is going to be like this for the next week or so, which could make walking somewhat problematic.  Maybe I’ll just go out in it anyway – I do like walking in the rain.

Now I need to start some work on a review.  This one is going to be a little tricky, so I won’t be picking up another review book until next week, I think.  I have too much reading to catch up on.  And yet I can’t stop buying books.  I have a problem.
