Today’s progress:
Project: White Raven draft two

New words: 2,830

Total words: 68,352

Goal: 100k

Writing:

Not too bad today.  I was feeling pretty burned out last Friday, and really needed the weekend off from writing.  Yesterday, while lying in bed, I was contemplating the end of the novel and trying to visualise how I wanted all of the major characters’ arcs to end.  As a result, I think I’ve pretty much sketched out the end and am feeling pretty confident about where it’s all going.

Now I just need to translate what’s in my head to what’s on the page.  I’m feeling pretty good in general with this draft, though I already have a bunch of revision notes for the next draft ready.  Not to mention the next book clamouring in the back of my mind.

Real life:

Laundry, cleaned the house (though it was the last thing that I felt like doing this morning).
I’m starting to feel more tired on a general basis now, and back pain is becoming a huge issue for me, especially when it comes to work.  Sitting up in any position for more than about 20 minutes almost always results in a burning mid-back pain.  Unfun.  Heat doesn’t help much, nor does massage.  Exercise and stretching does to an extent.  The only way around it that I’ve been able to find is lying down.  Which pretty much rules out working, unless someone can come up with a way to install a USB plug into my skull ;)
Oh well, this isn’t going to last forever.  Then I’ll have a whole new set of challenges instead.
Going to go for a short walk (and hopefully not get rained on) and catch up on some reading now.

Beauty:

Father’s Day yesterday, during which I got to spend a good amount of time with my family, including my father (and the two fathers-to-be!).
