Overdue post, due to the fact that I crashed hard last night and had no energy left for anything of use.
Yesterday was…a weird day. Woke up with fevers again (which are still lingering today) and a general feeling of just being off. Thanks, lupus. So far it seems to be mostly an exacerbation of fever and fatigue, with moderate pain levels. I can handle that, at least, even if it does slow me down.
Writing-wise, I had a really good day. 2,600 words, which brought me to the end of the first chapter of this draft of Never. I’m finding that I’m actually cutting a lot from the last draft, which is interesting. And hopefully some indication that my writing has improved since when I worked on the last draft.
Reading: Still reading and enjoying Soulless. Had an afternoon when the kidlet had a good nap, but I actually didn’t feel like reading much. I read a bit, and then caught up watching The Guild all the way to the start of the latest season. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
The rest of the day was pretty much useless. I was grumpy and didn’t really want to settle to anything. We watched the latest adaptation of Jane Eyre in the evening. Which was kind of…eh. I love the story, but I don’t particularly like the way they chopped the ending into the beginning. I think the story benefits more from being told in a linear fashion.
