I’ll do my worst to give you chills
Sep. 19th, 2011 11:35 amAnd so it is Monday again.
The weekend was quiet for us. I was still pretty fragile physically for most of it – running a fever, achy and fatigued. Thank goodness for grandparents, who took the kidlet for chunks of time on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
No writing for me, though I had the time, but not the inclination. I did read a good chunk of Soulless, which I am enjoying greatly (though it keeps making me crave tea!), and I’m glad that I have the published sequels lined up and ready to read. After a weird Hunger Games dream on Saturday night, I was drawn to rereading the first book of the trilogy, which I did in one big gulp on Sunday afternoon. Something I haven’t done for a long time, and something that I miss – being able to read a book in one span of hours. These days, I either have other things demanding my time, or if I have the time, I tend to fall asleep instead of reading.
Caught up with the latest episode of Doctor Who last night (The God Complex), which I enjoyed. It’s going to be an interesting end to the season, methinks. Though I have to admit, I’m kind of tiring of Amy as a companion.
And the husband and I have finally picked up out much-neglected Lord of the Rings Online accounts and started questing again! I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed the game. Though we both have a tendency to choose squishy characters, which makes some things a bit difficult. We just both like spellcasters too damn much. (Hint: Chris, come and play with us!!)
