Some days are better than others

Random message (written by someone else, not me!) on a kid’s magentic doodle board I saw while wandering the toy aisles in Kmart yesterday.  Message from the universe?

Yesterday was a lost day.  I sat down to write on what should have been an easy part of the draft, but the words just didn’t come.  After trying for a while, I just gave up.

Instead, I read.  I finished up After the Rain (which was amazing and I want to write up a proper review soon) and Changeless.  And oh boy, I am glad that I had Blameless ready to go.  I’m feeling a bit guilty for reading the next book, considering that I have slush, review and Aurealis reading to be done.  But the Parasol Protectorate is crack.  I’m regretting picking the series up a little, since I have to wait until next year for the last one!

I did manage a short walk yesterday, accompanied by the latest Druidcast episode.

Last night’s viewing was the latest Sons of Anarchy episode; this season continues to be as awesome as the previous ones.  And then the husband and I played a little LOTRO, which was fun

And this morning I’m being hammered a bit by the side effects of the new medication I started (sulfasalazine, if anyone is interested).  Headache and nausea, mostly.  Hopefully it’ll lift a bit later so I can actually get some writing done today.
