Through the white lace of the moon
Oct. 6th, 2011 11:29 amThis week is actually turning into a string of good and productive days. Which is a pleasant surprise, after too many lost days recently.
Writing yesterday wasn’t as much as I’d like, but I did scrape in just over 1,000 words on this draft. Which is better than nothing, but also feels like the slowest progress in the world. Still, all those words add up to something eventually.
The kidlet continued to be a child of awesome and had a massive almost-three hour nap in the afternoon (I’m thinking growth spurt, since he seems to grow taller every time I look at him). Which meant that I got a lot of reading done, to the tune of a good chunk of Tooth and Claw, which I am liking far more than I thought I would. I was actually really hesitant to pick it up, despite my recent love affair with Jo Walton’s books. Dragons as characters, really? But it really is terribly awesome.
And I managed a fairly decent walk in the late afternoon, which is always guaranteed to make me feel much better. During which I caught up on a few episodes of Writing Excuses and some of the latest episode of The Book Nut, which I am enjoying immensely.
Last night was Sons of Anarchy, which is like crack (and another thing that, on the surface, I should have no damn interest in).
