This is what my life has expanded to include: an obsession with cloth nappies.

The left hand side contains all-in-ones and -twos as well as pocket nappies, mostly from Itti Bitti, Baby Beehinds and Green Kids. There should be some fitted nappies in there as well, but they’re currently in the nappy bucket. On the right hand side, liners and boosters in the back and covers in the front (mostly Thirsties).

There’s another drawer below this one which holds prefolds. And more nappies in another drawer which are currently too big for him (I’m stocking up on bigger sizes when I find good specials).

Words

Despite the fact that Liam’s been sleeping on and off all afternoon (he’s pretty much been awake for an hour then sleeping for an hour, rinse and repeat), and I’ve had time to get some work done, I haven’t done any writing. I have managed some reading, which is something. And I did contemplate some of my characters, which is also something. I may do some work on my character outlines if Liam stays asleep for a little while longer.

Ahhhhh I like your system with the "assembled nappy" drawer and "unassembled nappy" drawer. I just had one drawer with Bella and will have the same with this bub... but I assembled each of my GK nappies as I needed them coz I never knew which outer I would need (outfit colour etc) with which inner (hemp/bamboo/microfibre/booster- depending on length of journey etc). I also have hemp prefolds and some Bummi and BBH covers for before the GK fit properly.

I won a daily spot prize in the Sept 09 one ('superhero' singlet for Bella) and there are some great discounts for hunters- I think GK usually has about 10% off. It's very addictive but oh so fun!

I'm slack - if I assembled the nappies as I used them, I'd never end up using half of them ;)

I'm hanging out for the nappy hunt :) I didn't participate properly last year, but I did use the discount codes at a few places. I think this year I'm going to hunt! The main problem I have now is that there are too many nappy brands I love. The credit card might take a bashing.

Haha that's why I just stuck with GK once I realised that they worked for us.
