Thought and Memory

Borrowing (modified) format for progress notes from Elizabeth Bear.

Reason for stopping: Critical point in scene, was too tired to concentrate enough to do it justice.
Exercise: Cleaned house for two hours.

Fun stuff: Nothing much yet, just setting things up. The first real WTF moment is awaiting me tomorrow.

Interesting stuff: Alanna is really a blonde, but dyes her hair black. Not that interesting, but it’s all I have!

Other work: Nothing today, due to cleaning taking up my spoons. I have a list of reading and reviews to catch up on this week, however.

Reading: American Gods by Neil Gaiman, which I am enjoying thoroughly.

The glamourous life of a writer: I write on my laptop, always. My preferred writing spot is sitting on the couch. I’ve always been able to filter out other sounds (came from a house where the television was always on) but have been writing the previous novel, Shaede, to complete silence. I’m trialling music for the writing of TaM and spent some time this morning working up a song list. I’ll post it once I have it finalised.
