Progress notes: 12th November, 2006

Pages edited on Shaede: 100/438

Yep, I’ve managed to edit a hundred pages this weekend. And as you can see, I’ve cut out a few chunks. Bits of scenes that didn’t go anywhere, stuff that just confused the plot.

I am sorely tempted to just package up the query and send it off now. The only reason why I haven’t is because I don’t know what the final word count is going to be. And hell, if I keep up this pace, I’ll have the whole thing edited this week.

I’m thinking more about what to focus on next. I have a prequel to Shaede in semi-complete first draft. I have Thought and Memory in first draft. I also have Borderline, which I am tempted to change slightly and set in the same world as Shaede. I like the Crossing. I could stand to spend some more time there.

I’m also tempted to play more with the major characters from Shaede. Except they haven’t decided to tell me what the rest of their story is yet.
